Top immigration official says key rule change to take effect

USCIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas said a proposed change that could benefit tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants will likely go into effect by the end of the year. A rule change designed to decrease the time some undocumented immigrants spend away from their families could be implemented by the end of this calendar year, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Alejandro Mayorkas said last week.
